Media for Schools connects pupils and teachers with experienced film-making professionals to create exciting, cross-curricular film projects that bring learning to life.

We offer hands-on workshops that guide students through the full film-making process; from concept development and scriptwriting to camera work, directing, sound, lighting, editing and special effects. Using industry-standard equipment and led by professional film-makers, our sessions give students a taste of real production experience while building confidence, creativity and teamwork.

We’ve delivered a wide range of projects tailored to different age groups and curriculum needs, including horror shorts, youth-led documentaries, the Reboot Reading project (which brings books to screen), and Young Reporter workshops that develop journalistic and media literacy skills.

Our workshops are designed to support whole-school engagement. We work with schools to build bespoke projects that connect learning across subjects like English, drama, art, ICT, history and PSHE.

Whether you’re looking to boost engagement, showcase pupil voice, or explore new ways of teaching and learning through media, Media for Schools brings the tools, expertise and inspiration to make it happen.
